Mesut Erdem Ergün graduated from the Film Design and Directing Department at Marmara University's Faculty of Fine Arts. He started out in the backstage, lighting and camera departments of TV series, commercials and films. He made his debut as director of photography in 2018 with the short film “Borçlu”, supported by the Ministry of Culture, and completed “Bavul” as producer and director of photography in 2022. He has worked as director and director of photography on more than 15 music videos. He made documentaries for humanitarian organisations in West Africa and served as a camera operator on the FIFA World Cup documentary in Qatar. He has worked on commercial, promotional and documentary projects in Morocco, Qatar and the United Arab Emirates. Today he owns Kodek Film and works on productions based in Turkey.
